Ryedale Grand Prix

Although the Pro's were down the road, with Russel Downing taking the win from Ian Wilkinson, the interest for Team Chevin Bang & Olufsen was with our own rider, Callum Sewell and, friend of the Team, Jamie Sharpe (Cycleworks), as this was his last race. To my surprise Jamie is hanging up his wheels due to the arrival of his second child.

In his usual fashion Jamie pushed hard all the way round and finished in a very respectable 16th Place 8mins behind the eventual winner but 3 mins plus up on the peleton.

Well done Jamie, I suspect this will not be the last we see of him.

Meanwhile Callum suffered a broken spoke and had to wait for the Mavic Support Car.  After receiving a replacement he chased hard for a good 10 minutes and eventually got back to the main group.  Eventually finishing an amazing 32nd after a difficult ride.
