Team Chevin Bang & Olufsen is a cross-discipline cycle racing team based in Yorkshire. Officially launched on 4th April 2009 at Chevin Cycles’ store in Otley, the team competes in MTB XC, Time Trial, Road, Cyclo Cross, Duathlon and Triathlon; Team Chevin Bang & Olufsen plans to ride all the Yorkshire Regional Road events in 2009, including British Cycling and The League International supported races.
Blending youth and experience, Team Chevin Bang & Olufsen has high hopes this year – new recruits for 2009 include 19 year old Callum Sewell, an excellent 2nd Cat racer, Colin Hawxby (successful British duathlon winner) and 17 year-old Ewan Sewell, an up and coming rider on the road. These new riders complement the existing 2008 squad which includes the experienced Sam Ward, Mike Salkeld, Steve Whitehurst and Trevor Larcombe, along with the unofficial National middle gear time trial champion, Jon Hobson, and Olympic Talent Squad rider, Gabriella Shaw. The team's two sponsors are Chevin Cycles in Otley and the Bang & Olufsen stores in Harrogateand Leeds (operated by Wills Brothers Ltd).
